The trip from Bangkok Thailand to Siem Reap Cambodia is historically notorious for the bumpy dusty ride and border crossing hassles. In order to make it a little easier we decided to apply for our Cambodian visas ahead of time. Forget having to mail your passport to a far away embassy, Simply upload any image, forward a few dollars to a PaypPal account and 2 days later a fresh new e-visa. There’s even a blog to support the process. Why can’t other countries get down with web 2.0/tourism?
I’m a gear junkie and unforgiving planner particularly when it comes to what I pack. regardless of if traveling like a wanna-be jet setter or backpacking through the bush I try to pack light with nothing more than a carry-on bag. This trip is officially the longest that I’ll be on the road without a home base so needless to say I’ve been working on this list for the past 3 months! I did say that I was unforgiving.

Finally I was able to overcome procrastination to get this blog up. It took one very late night at work to get everything up and running but it’s finally here. This destination will server as our indelible stamp to the on-line travel word on our journey through South East Asia. Additionally it’ll also let our families that all is well on the road.
Hopefully I’ll have time between now and the next few weeks when we leave to make some edits to make this blog look legit.
